We're Bloggin' ...

... and where the ef you see kay do you get the time for it?
A mad year has gently rolled past mid-season.
I've cycled, worked, cycled, worked.
I think I've met my kids along the way ... I'm pretty sure I have ... but if you were to ask me where or when? Well I'm not really sure.

It started off good enough last year ... heading towards 7,000kms on the bike I was doing ok.
In September I was given full-time employment by the Swedish child cancer foundation!!
All that slog had now born fruition for me on a personal level

Day 4 into my jobb was a day off, and such a day. I went out for a ride with the Autumn sun in my face and returned home in an ambulance. One bike-frame less :(
Picture one.
6-weeks of headaches and concussion later and I could stop taking the asprins.

The company that put the thick cable out over the cycling path without any signs didn't want to know or hear about what had happened and I was referred to the local planning department. (Still ongoing)

Some days later I got back on my (other) bike, unpreturbed and cycled.
Bought a new bike in the winter. A Lapierre. Picture 2
Did ok on it to. A really nice ride Lapierre. Then my dream-bike turned up. My "Must have" and have it I did.
A Trek Madone 6,9 that matched my Ride of Hope clothes perfectly.
Not allowed to take it on the train I cycled it home from Stockholm, 175km

Halvvättern, Vätternrundan, Ride of Hope Europe, 9 days in Spain and Ride of Hope Lund-Stockholm gave me 4,000kms in exactly 8 weeks and as I start to approach 8,000kms this year I'm seriously considering Italy again this year.
Chase the Sun, 4 days in beautiful Tuscany and 4 equally beautiful days in Lombardi.

At the back of my mind there is this weird figure 1's and 0's that has me wondering if I could break through the 9999 barrier and hit 10,000kms. A neat thought, but nothing more than that.
I love riding my bike, I never get tired of it, and when I can do that and help families fight the war against cancer, I know it just doesn't get any better that this ....
... it does actually, but that's for a future blogg :)
