How sweet can one ride be?
Today we set off from Bagno di Romagna. starting att 500meters above sea-level and riding up to 1173 in less than 10kms was every bit as epic as yesterdays ride but for all the right reasons.
Scenery, natural beauty, sweat, breathtaking sweeping descents, wild boars and waterfalls.
Pine trees, sandstone rocks dripping wet with the melted snow of the previous winter, drops glistening like diamonds in the morning sun.
The fresh cold air. The swoosh of a high profile wheel. Small waterfalls running down the mountain side and under the road/bridge.
Wild boar on the road as I can bombing around at turn, hearing it's hooves tripping across the tarmac as it hopped up into the wood and disappeared. Subliminal and superflous.
Now I have no more words for todays ride.
Tomorrow, Pisa and Viareggio; Tuscany here we come.
