A few years back I met a man from South Africa. His wife had a stroke. Which took her from being an active young woman in her best years to wheelchair bound.
Her husband Mark has had a fight on his hands, not only just to stay with her and help (the reason behind their marriage to keep him in Sweden but also to build a bike. Twice he has tried, and twice he hasn't quite got it right.
So, I contacted some friends, we had a collection where each person gave 365:- crowns. One for each day of the year and we raised over 30,000 SEK and bought them the bike.
This weekend I was in Orsa to help complete the deal, and to help their dream come true.
It was amazing to be apart of this, and I can honestly say I was moved to tears at their reaction the day after when Mark was telling me about how the idea came about and Jenny burst into tears.
